Well, it took a lot of work, but I do believe the new site is fully functional across a number of browsers.  After adjusting the HTML, I checked for cross-browser compatibility, and this is what I found:

The new site seems to be just fine when viewed in Firefox or Internet Explorer on a PC, and it also seems to work just fine in Firefox and Safari when viewed on a Mac.

I have as of yet to test in Opera or Leopard, so if anybody uses those, let me know if those browsers display correctly, or if there seem to be problems.

Questions or comments?  This would be the place...

WHEW!!!   Grin

One thing I'm planning on doing in the near future is adding more pics of kids on various pages.  Right now, they're mainly on the pictures page, and one child on the home page.  I'll add more soon.  I just wanted to get a fully functional, updated design created first.  More kids on the way.  If anyone has particularly sad/compelling pictures of kids that also really showcase the poverty level in the Baikal area, post them here.  Such pics will help to relate to viewers of the site just how bad they have it.  Max pic size (for posting pics in threads) is set to 600x400.

...just a quick note: Julie has given me updated program information, so now the Program page is updated.  I removed info from from programs I found out were obsolete, and I'll add the information for the new programs as it becomes available to me.  I have more to work on tonight, but as of right now, the HOPE program info is set up.

Smiley

EDIT: I noticed that I kept spelling HOPE as HELP because that's the first word of the name of the program.  I think I caught all the mistakes, but drop me a note here if you see anything else.   Roll Eyes

Wheew!  I sweat it out a little, but I managed to finally do a manual software update for the message board!  You're all now riding on the latest and greatest version of the SMF engine that powers our community!  I went through and backed up the Db, FTP'd all the new files over and ran an upgrade utility to make sure we had no errors.  There were some, but I was able to fix the scripting with the help of an online manual.

In short, there are no possible new updates (at least technologically); we are as current as can be!  Smiley
